stairway and the foyer
Space
problems are typically more critical in the foyer than in any other part
of the house. We help coordinate overall foyer design to ensure a pleasing
set-back from the front door and comfortable rise and run of each step.
You know that when
the client insists on raising the ceiling height, not only will more treads
and risers be required, but also more wall space for the longer stair.
Our CAD drawings of options could be a real time-saver in what may become
a major redesign of the entry.

on a lot of situations. We know code changes, when to call in a
structural engineer; when to add steel, extra stringer lamination
or a center stringer.

Your
designs, executed beautifully.
We
have the capability to work with just about any materials you spec
and carry an extensive line of stock and custom stair trim. We have
true craftsmen who can reproduce, carve, build or invent just about
anything you can dream up.
At times, space
requires that your curve design is combined with straight sections.
We'll make sure the handrail transitions on that combination stair are
designed and executed to minimize the pitch change.
 
Stairs built on-site
are rebuilt and changed more than any other part of the house or the trim
carpenter is left with time-consuming problems to solve. Our framing details
will put everyone on the same page and ensure that your design is not
compromised.
